MicroLink devices Inc awarded $16.4 Million contract to develop space-grade power modules
Our sister company MicroLink Devices Inc has been awarded a $14.6 Million pound contract by the Air force Research Laboratory which demonstrates the continued faith in how important our technology is for future stratospheric space operations. This contract is to develop and space-qualify a lightweight, flexible, space-grade solar power module product that combines industry-leading, low-cost, and high specific power for low and geostationary earth orbit satellites. Work will be performed in Niles, Illinois, and is expected to be completed by November 7th 2023. This award is the result of a competitive acquisition in which one offer was received. Fiscal 2020 research and development funding to the amount of $16,620,503 are being obligated at the time of the award. Air Force Research Laboratory, Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico (FA9453-22-C-0004). There is known congressional interest pertaining to this acquisition.
