MLD UK Secures Funding Through CSconnected £1m Investment Programme

MicroLink Devices UK Ltd has been successful in securing funding through the CSconnected £1 million investment programme, delivered in partnership with Cardiff Capital Region (CCR), to support the growth of the compound semiconductor supply chain in South Wales.

CSconnected, the world’s first compound semiconductor cluster, launched the programme to accelerate job creation, stimulate regional economic growth, and strengthen the UK’s strategic position in advanced semiconductor manufacturing. Now in its third funding call since launching in March 2025, the initiative supports projects that build long-term resilience, strengthen supplier relationships, and drive commercial growth across the sector.

Through this award, MicroLink Devices UK Ltd will deliver a project supported by grant funding. The project will run for twelve months and will deliver clear benefits to the Cardiff Capital Region, supporting capability development, innovation, and supply chain resilience.

The investment forms part of CSconnected’s wider mission to strengthen regional supply chains and ensure the compound semiconductor sector continues to deliver measurable economic impact for Wales and the UK.
